Membrane Filtration, Separation Systems & Products

Highly reliable and cost-effective, RO systems treat a wide range of hard and brackish water, producing water with very low dissolved solids and which is also free from particulate, colloidal and organic matter. Designed with flexibility, the system utilises state-of-the-art spiral wound reverse osmosis membranes to suit a given application. These systems can remove 90 – 98% of total dissolved salts.

Treats water containing total dissolved solids of 42000 ppm to produce water for potable or process purposes with TDS less than 500 ppm. Standard SWRO systems are available in capacities ranging from 100 l/h to 20 m3/h

HSRO elements, manufactured on advanced automated equipment, have the highest active membrane area in the industry. This high membrane area allows to design systems with either lower operating flux or cost savings from fewer membrane elements. The full-fit configuration minimises stagnant areas and is optimal for applications requiring a sanitary design. All components comply with FDA standards. Ideal for pharmaceutical applications.

Ultrafiltration is a tangential flow, pressure driven filtration process that separates particles on the basis of their molecular size. Pore diameters of ultrafiltration membranes are in the range of 10 to 200 A (0.001 to 0.02 micron). Solvents and species having a diameter smaller than the pore size of the membrane will pass through the membrane and emerge as ultrafiltrate known as permeate. Rejected species are progressively concentrated in the retained stream. Ultrafiltration membranes are reusable and cleanable with standard chemicals.

Microfiltration is a low pressure membrane process that rejects undissolved impurities (suspended solids, colloidal impurities and pathogens) present in water and allows dissolved impurities (both organic molecules and inorganic salts).

Nanofiltration (NF) membranes offer a cost-effective alternative to conventional softening processes for removal of hardness, odour and other contaminants often found in natural water supplies and process streams.

Barrelyene Chemicals water treatment plants ranging from 3 l/h to 1000 l/h produce the right quality of water as per AAMI standards. The Barrelyene Chemicals skid mounted treatment plant consists of a skid mounted RO system with pretreatment.

Caters to emergency requirements of drinking water during natural calamities, using a combination of membrane processes and ozonation to treat any type of available water, ground or surface, and make it safe for drinking. Additional modules to treat specific contaminants such as arsenic or fluoride can be added. Compact and containerised unit can be truck mounted and easily transported to affected sites. Can be operated on a diesel generator and so is not dependent on electricity.

Our advanced membrane based process using micro/nano/ultra filtration, reverse osmosis and special ion exchange resins are used in filtration, separation and purification systems that play an essential role in food & beverage processing.
